Hi, my name is Shally Sinha, and I am a high school student in Loudoun County, VA. I have always held a deep interest for all the different forms of art. It was not until middle school that I realized how much I enjoyed one particular art form—painting. Since then, I have worked to improve my skills in this area.
I believe paintings hold the power to capture emotions, stories, and moments that words sometimes cannot fully express. While volunteering and listening to the residents’ stories at Sunrise Senior Living, I was inspired to bring those stories to life on canvas. Meeting each person and learning about their unique experiences motivated me to create portraits that go beyond appearances and capture the emotions that define them. Through my work, I hope to foster a deeper understanding and appreciation for the people behind the portraits.
